Initial Consultation
Changes to consider:
- Job search function
- The job search function is unable to capture the correct location of the user and instead gives the user jobs in different countries. If this cannot be fixed, then this function should be taken out.
- Our services
- Give the users a better idea of what Resumes-Online does through a virtual tour, video, or timeline.
- E-Interview
- Let users know how long it will approximately take to finish. From my experience, it took nearly 3 hours to complete. Let the user know that the length of time may vary depending on the individual’s experience and education.
- File uploads. Have the accepted file types listed so that users know what to prepare instead of trial and error.
- Save and continue. Allow users to Save their progress if they cannot finish the e-interview in one sitting.
- Feedback/Reviews
- Have the feedback and reviews approved by the company first. Negative and mediocre reviews will have negative effects on a small startup company.
- Building a connecting with the user
- To build a connection with the user, it is nice to have at least 1 virtual consultation with the client after they submit their information. This allows the company to understand what the user is looking for and for the company to explain the process, possibilities, and expectations to have.
- Success stories and reviews help build a connection with a user. You can offer rewrites for the later date, if user were to upload a positive video review for you to post on your website.
- Satisfaction Guarantee
- Let users know that you have a Satisfaction Guarantee policy where if users do not receive any interviews within 90 days that a rewrite will be provided free of charge.
- Reaching out - an automation email that checks in with users in 60- and 90-day periods after the initial resume and cover letter was completed. This shows users that you care about them – building that connection. This can also act as a reminder to users to provide feedback on Resumes-Online.
- Consistency
- Don’t use My Account and Client Portal interchangeably on the website as this would cause confusion to the user.
- Timeline
- Include a timeline to allow the users to understand what to expect. An example is below.
